A car's cup holder opening is an ideal location to mount your mobile phone or portable navigation device.
 
Arkon's cup holder pedestal, sits at about 5" in height, and features an adjustable base so that it can accomodate a variety of different sized cup holder openings.
Safety note:
When using a cup holder mount with portable navigation, make sure you're relying on the voice commands from your device rather than looking at the cup holder location, as many times it is somewhere down lower in the vehicle.

Arkon's SM423-G mount positions your cell phone in your car's drink cup holder location.
For many car's, the drink cup location is a convenient and unique location for mounting your cell phone. With Arkon's SM423-G, you're able to hold the phone securely at close proximity.
Arkon's Mega Grip holder is not phone specific, though it works with nearly all phones including those that have protective cases or skins on them. SM423-G is better suited as a mount for your phone's handsfree calling, or to keep your phone close. The cup holder location is usually not ideal if using your phone with GPS (see the SM410, SM412, SM415, SM416, SM428, or SM429-SBH instead).
